Information on the people behind the names of the 58 men dying in the World War 1 who appear on the War Memorial in Wendover High Street.
Description

The A4 publication includes a list of the names of the 58 men dying in the World War 1 who appear on the War Memorial in Wendover High Street. Val Moir has researched these names using various sources, including the Commonwealth War Grave Commission, census, directories, school records and newspapers to draw a pen sketch of each man. There is also a list of men who enlisted in 1914 for the war and an interesting comparison of surnames appearing on the War Memorial with those appearing in the 1798 Posse Comitatus

Author & publisher: Val Moir
