Written by Hamish Eaton in 1997, it covers the origins and development of the village from Roman times to the present day and includes many photographs, maps, illustrations and tables describing village life, people and buildings throughout the ages. In A4 hardback format, this edition has 212 pages and incorporates an Index of Illustrations and an Index of Village Names & Places not included in the first edition.
